Bantou - the cut-end grade, sweet and uncomplicated.
Bantou (板头) is the resin that forms at a cut or broken end of the trunk - the tree sealing a wound. It is the sweetest and least complicated of the Sinensis grades, and historically the one that built Hong Kong's incense trade. An easy, generous stick: sweet from the first second, no camphor fight, no bitter tail. The one we recommend as a first Sinensis purchase.
